A hat-trick in the first 13 minutes by Paul Cullnean, who converted each of his scores, sent
KELLS on the way to a 64-6 victory over
BROUGHTON RED ROSE in this afternoon’s
IGGESUND CUMBERLAND LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL.
The Rose never recovered from the early onslaught and could only muster a Matthew Woodcock try, converted by Mark Walker, in reply.
Kells, by contrast, added two tries apiece by Shaun Flanagan and Stephen McGrady, with David Agnew chipping in with a try and seven goals. Other touchdowns went to Jon Wignall, David Dickinson and Grant McLaughlin.
